Tools: Use tools like Google Trends and Keyword Planner. Additionally, tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, KWFinder, Ubersuggest, and others are available online. Some are free, while others are paid; the free ones mentioned above are a good start.
Analysis: Get details on keyword search volume and competition (high, medium, low).
Long-Tail Keywords: Focus on long-tail keyword phrases with low competition and high volume.
Prioritize Keywords: Set your keyword priorities, ensuring all are relevant to your business purpose.
Implement and Monitor: Implement the keywords in your business and monitor them daily using Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
After identifying the best keywords, create quality content and continue to monitor.
Short-tail Keywords:
These are 1 or 2 words. Due to their brevity, competition is high and the conversion rate is low. Examples include "SEO courses" and "digital marketing."
While short-tail keywords are good for brand awareness and attracting a wide audience, it’s better to go for long-tail keywords if you are new to SEO.
Long-tail Keywords:
These are the opposite, consisting of more than 2 words, often forming a sentence. Examples include "SEO course for beginners" and "How to learn website development online."
Search volume is low, and competition is also low, but the conversion rate is high. Long-tail keywords create intention-based traffic, so you need to identify your audience
